They are close to an SRE (resilience, monitoring, infra-as-code, Kubernetes) and to a data engineer (pipeline orchestration, managing large volumes, feature stores). They are responsible for the SLAs of ML services in production.
A role in very high demand in 2026, as AI gets embedded in products everywhere.
