Fullstack usually describes a developer profile able to handle both back-end and front-end problems.

Valued by some for their versatility, fullstack developers earn salaries broadly similar to back-end or front-end specialists, and are often found in early-stage companies where versatility matters more than deep expertise.

As the technical team grows, the focus shifts to the expertise of specialised back-end or front-end developers.

Some see the fullstack profile as a Swiss-Army-knife developer, able to operate at every stage of building a web product: from requirements gathering to delivery.
