At Animaj we’re building a cutting-edge data platform to support our analytics engines for channels sourcing, pricing and scaling. This platform, fed by data from Youtube APIs, provides our M&A team, growth team, and creators with capabilities to better identify business opportunities, to understand audiences and entertainment content trends, and to recommend optimizations for their channels/content.

Animaj is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design the company’s data architecture and build its data platform (including data acquisition, data transformation and enrichment pipelines, datamart & APIs to expose the data).

You will report to the Head of Data, and collaborate closely with machine learning engineers as well as M&A and growth teams. Our tech stack: AWS (S3, Airflow), Python, ffmpeg, GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Animaj’s data platform (ingestion, pipelines, datamart) from scratch with infrastructure costs in mind
• Build, test and maintain data extraction and transformation pipelines from several feeds (starting with Youtube APIs)
• Design and implement jobs scheduling/orchestration workflows and pipeline monitoring/alerting
• Deploy efficient data storage solutions in production
• Define our data model in collaboration with our machine learning engineers and other internal clients
• Influence technical choices on stack, design and implementation and contribute to the definition of Animaj’s technical vision

Profil recherché

Requirements

• 5+ of experience of building and managing complex data pipelines
• Ideally experience architecting data infrastructures from bottom up
• Demonstrated strong autonomy, proactiveness and technical leadership
• Knowledge about Software engineering best practices
• You have a hacker mindset and are not afraid to deep dive into new and challenging problems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• English proficiency and experience working in a multinational environment
